If you love needlepoint, counted cross stitch, embellished cross stitch, or no count cross stitch...here's what's new this month at Art for the Needle.

Fairies were very popular last year and artist Mary Baxter St. Clair has such a beautiful touch when it comes to bringing these fantasy creatures to life. This month we have a brand new fairy project entitled, "Summer Tree Fairy." And, in a similar vein, we have a new angel project entitled "Angelic Trio" from artist Ingrid Slyder. Both projects are in the quick and easy style of embellished cross stitch.

If fairies and angels are not your thing, we have added a beautiful still life project entitled "Blue Delphiniums," that captures a quiet moment in blue -- check it out and you'll see what we mean! This project is also in embellished cross stitch.

In No Count Cross Stitch we have two new projects from Dimensions, including a very cute and adorable cat hiding in a garden of poppies appropriately titled "Purrfect Poppies," and "The Music Room," a new project from artist Lena Liu.

In Needlepoint we have a trio of miniatures to finish quickly and enjoy for a while! They include "Scottie on Plaid," "Ladybug, Ladybug...," and "Happiness" in a chinese character.

And, finally, in Counted Cross Stitch we have two new items, including the whimisical and the spiritual. For whimsy we are offering a cat-themed project entitled "Try to Relax." And for a spiritual theme, which many of you enjoy, we have "Dove of Peace," featuring a child in the arms of Jesus.
