Exclusive to friends and customers of Art for the Needle -- featuring needlecrafts, quilting, gifts and books.
If you love needlepoint, counted cross stitch, stamped cross stitch, no count cross stitch, or crewel embroidery...here's what's new this month at Art for the Needle. Last month we offered a great new project entitled "Dreaming of Tuscany." That was a popular item and we sold out twice! Now we have something very similar entitled "The Greatest Gifts" in Stamped Cross Stitch which features an inviting scene similar to the Tuscan theme but with a focus on friendship. In fact, it includes the words, "Friends are life's greatest gifts." We loved it and we hope you do, too. Another new project in stamped cross stitch is "Seacoast Serenity." This project features a seaside village and the inspiring words to the prayer that begins, "God grant me serenity to accept what I cannot change..." We're sure you know this one. And for those who really have no time for cross stitch but would love to do it if you did, here's a No Count project for you which features a sweet young ballerina. It's entitled "Dress Rehearsal." If you love dance and cross stitch, these two go together very well. It's hard to find really good projects in crewel embroidery these days, but we think we've found one you will love if this is what you like to stitch. "Lilacs and Lace" is a dramatic still life theme featuring tulips and lilacs against a black setting. It has an Old World feel of a country house with fresh cut flowers on the table. We hope you like it, too. We have one new item in needlepoint which is really sweet. "Welcome Friends" is the kind of project you want your friends to see when they first come into your house. And, finally, in counted cross stitch we have four new items. One of our favorites is "In His Hands," which features sparrows resting on the outstretched hands of Jesus by artist Spencer Williams. Also, a seashells-on-the-beach type of project that would remind anyone of lazy summer afternoons on a shell-strewn beach beneath the watchful gaze of a lighthouse. The last two in counted cross stitch are "trios." That is to say that each project is actually three in one. The first is a trio of lilies, the second is a trio of teacups. You can display them all together or separately. If you check it out you'll see what we mean. All of the new projects can be seen in our What's New section. Just click on the link at the top left of the home page. No need to search all over the site to see everything new. Be sure to use your discount code for April and May when you shop. It's not posted anywhere on the site and is exclusive to our newsletter subscribers: XTSM2. This code is valid through May 20 and entitles you to a 10% discount on any purchase, including newly reduced items in our Sales department. Enjoy and happy stitching!
